OUR MISSION
 

South Hayward United Methodist Church is a Christian community growing in courage to stand for the call of God to seek justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with God. We recognize, acknowledge, and honor the spiritual and cultural diversity and rich traditions of our congregation and the community in which we live. We are intentional in our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

TEAMWORK

Teamwork is what the Body of Christ, the Church, is all about.

God wants us to be teamplayers to further God's kingdom. We need to learn to be part of the team. There is no such thing as a one person team or a one person committee. You cannot be a lone ranger Christian. You need to be part of a team. You need to be part of a team to work effectively, you need each other and must understand that every person has a role to play. As a team member, we are accountable to one another. We look out for each other, we support and care for each other. When there is teamwork, there is strength. As the saying goes, "In unity there is strength."

With teamwork, you can accomplish much and there is sense of fulfillment, knowing that you have done your part in spreading the love of God in Christ Jesus to a world that is full of hate and indifference.

Fair Trade Festival: You mean, you missed the experience? I suppose it's not too early to mark your 2013 calendars now, for Saturday, May 11th. Other than that, talk to Jerry Wrenn, visit the Fair Trade table, or get a group together and learn more. We really can MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
