SHUMC is governed by its Administrative Council.  The Council meets most months.  It brings together leaders of the various committees and programs of the local church.  Each year the local church meets as a congregation at its Annual Church Conference to report on the previous year's accomplishments and to elect officers for the next year.  This year the Annual Church Conference was at 7:30 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at South Hayward United Methodist Church.
